Looking up Willis Street on a busy day. Electric trams travel in both directions and share the road with a few private vehicles. Signage on the trams advertise tea companies and an upcoming circus; another sign reads "Give Books This Xmas".
The 'old' Evening Post building is on the left (to be replaced by a new building in 1929) and on the right is 'Gates Ltd', an American lounge or 'soda fountain'. The intersection with Mercer Street is further along on the right.
