Lewisham Hospital Grounds

View of the Lewisham Hospital grounds from an upper-storey window. On the right is a cottage which once belonged to the Hospital but was later sold as a residential land section to developers. It is referenced on the back of the image as "St. Raphael's".

The Lewisham Hospital was renamed Calvary Hospital in 1953 and much later became the existing Wakefield Hospital.

This photograph originated from a Calvary Hospital photo album lent to Wellington City Libraries in 1977 for the purposes of copying.
