During a rental property survey undertaken in Newtown the following notes were made: "Between Drummond and Hugh Streets. 129 - two storey wooden building, old, in fair order, containing shop, dining room (kitchen , scullery , bath, wash tubs and coppers contained) and three bedrooms. Rental 21/- weekly. Occupier, empty. 131- two storey wooden building, old, in fair order containing shop, dining room (kitchen, scullery, bath, washtubs and copper combined) and three bedrooms. Rental 20/- weekly, Occupier Corrin Mrs E G."
