Wooden house at 113 Adelaide Road. Street renumbering shortly after this photograph was taken changed the address to 161 Adelaide Road. A plate at the front entrance reads "Huntly Lodge".
During a rental property survey undertaken in Newtown around this time the following notes were made: "161 Adelaide Rd, corner Adelaide Rd and Hugh Street. 2 storey wooden building containing 6 rooms (kitchen, scullery, copper and tubs combined) (bathroom upstairs). Building in fair order. Rental 22/6 weekly. Occupier A. Kipps."
Note: The portion of Hugh Street referred to above was later incorporated into Hospital Road.
