During a survey of rental properties around Wellington the following notes were made: "One storey wooden building, old, in fair order. Containing three rooms, kitchen and scullery, shed in yard containing washtubs and copper. Rental 13/- weekly. Occupier Mr John Canute."
The home was demolished during the widening of King Street in 1959.
