Members of the Wellington Automobile Club during an excursion to Upper Hutt in February 1908. The club had stopped at Mr. Shirtcliffe's residence for afternoon tea when this photograph was taken. It appeared in Auckland's Weekly News on the 12th of March that year.

'Mr. Shirtcliffe' is mostly likely Sir George Shirtcliffe, a Wellington City Councillor and active member of various communities and clubs.
