View facing south over Khandallah in 1901. The 'main trunk line' serving North Island trains is visible with Khandallah Station near the centre. Some early roads have been formed including Kathleen Street (now part of Station Road), Hannah's Avenue (now part of Cashmere Avenue) and Main Road (now Box Hill). The Post Office can also be seen alongside the railway.
This photograph was published on the Khandallah Subdivision Plan of the Hannah Estate in 1901. The advertisement shows sections subdivided from the estate of Robert Hannah, Wellington businessman and shoe manufacturer.
