The Story of Johnsonville

A manuscript giving a brief history of the township of Johnsonville and the surrounding areas. The original was found in the local history cabinet previously located in the former Johnsonville Library (5 Broderick Road) which closed in late 2019. This copy taken from an original typescript was made using an early wet-process chemical photocopier which is of limited quality; click the 'Text' button on the vertical toolbar to the left of the viewing pane to read a transcription of the document. Though undated, some of the information contained such as census data and the nature of the copy technology used indicates that it was likely written in the  mid -1960s. No author has been attributed; please contact us if you know who may have written this work.
