'Waiwera', Lower Hutt [Waterloo]

A bill advertising the sale of the 'Waiwera' estate in 1901 which at the time under the ownership of Mr John Barr. After being sold, the estate was gradually subdivided for housing and today forms part of the Lower Hutt suburb of Waterloo. The road at the bottom marked "roadway formed and metalled" was to become Rossiter Avenue while the top border of the estate ("Waiwhetu Creek") is a small branch off the main Waiwhetu Stream.
