Rioting in Wellington : Procession of Unemployed Results in Window Smashing

A page clipped from the Otago Witness covering an unemployed workers riot in Wellington during the Great Depression. The riot took place on 10th May 1932 with most damage occurring to shops around Lambton Quay and Willis Street. The following day another riot took place around Vivian Street and Cuba Street with greater violence and damage.
