A pamphlet given out with vehicle Warrant of Fitnesses beginning in April 1982. It explains the requirement for car owners to carry a duplicate WOF which be could later be used for the purpose of validating fuel rations, should petrol become a restricted resource.

The duplicate Warrant of Fitness scheme was announced in 1981 as a contingency measure should New Zealand face further fuel uncertainty or shortages.

It followed the 1979 Oil Crisis and the application of 'Carless Days' around the country.
