Description

The General Post Office fronting Customhouse Quay. Demolished in the early 1970s to clear the site for a proposed new Wellington GPO which never eventuated. The site remained empty for over a decade before being developed into the Park Royal Hotel (later renamed the InterContinental Hotel).
