Old Government House & Bellamy's

Description

Constructed in 1868 on the site of the present Executive Wing of Parliament Buildings (i.e. the Beehive). It was Wellington's second Government House and was lived in by Governors until it became the Parliamentary Debating Chamber in 1907. It then became the Parliamentary restaurant Bellamy's until its demolition in 1969 for the construction of the Beehive.
