The Commercial and Technical Library

The former 'Commercial and Technical Library' in the 'old' Wellington Central Public Library in Mercer Street shortly before it opened in 1940 (later to become the City Art Gallery in 1993). This later became known as the New Zealand Room which held reference NZ material. Today this room forms the north gallery on the first floor of the City Art Gallery.
