This is a follow-up publication to this earlier history to St Giles' also by Bernard Haigh from 1978.

St Giles' celebrated its centenary in 2007 but in 2013 following the retirement of its reverend, Alan Shaw, a decision was taken to formally dissolve the parish due to a decline in the size of the congregation. However, services continue being held at the church which has become a centre for Wellington's Niuean community.
