Bond Street runs up on the left, Farish Street (later to become Victoria Street) runs across the centre to the right. Likely to have been photographed from the top floor or roof of the Dominion Building on Mercer Street. The deconstruction of buildings on Farish Street indicates that this was taken in early 1928 when buildings were removed for road widening purposes.
