Molesworth Street, Thorndon

About this Image

Description

This view over Thorndon was possibly taken from an upper level of the Beehive which was in its final stages of construction at the time. At the corner of Molesworth and Aitken streets is land set aside for the National Library of New Zealand which would not be completed until 1987.

This photograph was previously held by the New Zealand Correspondence School (Te Kura), with the photographer likely to have been a staff member.
