Description

Official opening of the new Children’s Library, which was moved from the Ground floor to the Basement of the ‘old’ Central library (later to become the City Art Gallery in 1993). Originally a stack room, a need for more space led to this area being opened for public use in 1981, and later held the audio/visual collections.
