Wellington Cenotaph and The Will to Peace, Richard Oliver Gross

The Will to Peace refers to the statue atop the Wellington Cenotaph, both created by Richard Oliver Gross. The foundation stone was laid on the 25 April 1929 and was rededicated in 1952. The lions at the base were added in 1984. Both parts of the memorial were later restored in 1997 by Salamander Restoration and Design.
