Mural, 270 Cuba Street

270 Cuba Street (sometimes referred to as 274 Cuba Street or Tonks House) was demolished c. 2003 - 2004 at the time of the Karo Drive construction. Like other historic buildings nearby, the Council had originally planned to move it to a new location but it was soon realised that the house was in such poor condition it would not be possible to relocate. In 2004 a new copy of the original was built at 17 Kensington Street.
