The Wellington Show (aka 'The Trade Fair') was an annual fixture traditionally held during either the May or August school holidays at the John Street showgrounds and exhibition hall in Newtown (later to become Te Whaea). The show and facilities were owned and managed by the Wellington Show Association from the 1920s through to the 1990s.
