By-Laws of the Johnsonville Town Board

Booklet describing in detail each by-law set and enforced by the Johnsonville Town Board. The Board was responsible for setting local laws as well as providing core infrastructure such as gas lighting, street maintenance and sewerage lines. Laws outlined in this booklet include traffic rules (for both motor vehicles and horses), opening hours for billiard rooms, building regulations and water supply.

These laws applied only within the Johnsonville township though would later become void in 1953 when the Board amalgamated with the larger Wellington City Council.
