A bill advertising the sale in November 1908 of 123 residential sections in Crofton (later to be re-named Ngaio) which were formerly part of an estate known as Colway Farm owned by early pioneer Christopher Aplin (1841 - 1923). Helping boost sales was the news that the NZ Government was to acquire the assets of the Wellington Manawatu Railway Company and incorporate their line into the 'main trunk' later the same year with the promise of an improved commuter train service into Wellington.
