Memoir written by Rev. Francis William Redwood, notable bishop who founded St Patrick's College (originally between Cambridge Terrace & Tory Street, now in Kilbirnie).
He speaks of how he and his family settled in Waimea West following their emigration to New Zealand by ship in 1842. The book also details Redwood's preparation and studies for Priesthood, which he travelled to France to complete.
Following the publication of this edition Redwood wrote a follow-up memoir which we have also digitised.
